Summer fun at Creative Inspirations

Hello lovelies - another scheduled post! I apologise if I'm not able to get around to your blogs - I don't know how much time I will get whilst I'm away and I'll be in Germany so I won't be surfing the web on my phone! Hopefully I'll catch up with you soon.

My make today is for Creative Inspirations - we are having a summer break so you have three full weeks I think to enter this challenge. The theme is called Summer Fun and we are sponsored by Time 4 tea designs. I have used one of their images to make this card.

The papers are from LOTV and the flowers are from sweet Lilac.

Catch you soon and thanks for visiting!

Hugs

Tie it up at Creative Inspirations

Hello lovelies! How are you today? Are you enjoying the good weather? Its been fabulous here - a bit hot for running which is whats on the agenda for this morning - but I'm not complaining lol!!!!

I have my DT card to share with you today for Creative Inspirations. The new challenge which starts today is called 'tie it up'. Here's what I did:

The image is by the paper shelter who is the sponsor this week. I've coloured her using promarkers and then cut with a spellbinders die. The papers are from LOTV. The flower was made using my cornflower die from tonic. Here's some more details of the challenge and the sponsor.

This week's challenge is Tie It Up!
All you have to do is include a bow on your creations!

This week's prize is from THE PAPER SHELTER and is a $20 GIFT CERTIFICATE!

"If you are looking for fun, cute and lovely digi stamps for your paper-crafting or web design projects, The Paper Shelter is your one-stop boutique! This growing catalog of high-quality digi stamps with many different kind of options offers a multitude of themes such as everyday items, holidays, special occasions, children, adorable characters and creatures. Stamps are available in standard black and white line art, as well as in pre-coloured format. Images are wonderful for colouring and make perfect additions to greeting cards and scrapbook albums. In "The Paper Shelter" you'll also find great other resources for all crafts (or digital) projects, like Paper Packs, Printables, Accessory sheet, etc."

Check out what lush makes the others have created and enter the challenge here

I hope you have a good Wednesday - I've got my rainbows again tonight - I'm going to be mostly indoors tonight as I don't want a repeat of last week - far too scary! Although maybe I'll be brave and try to repeat the activity with safeguards in place.... that would be the best thing to do I think but I'm not sure that I'm ready for that yet!

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon!

Its lovely lace at Creative Inspirations

Good morning to you! Thanks for all your lovely comments over the last few posts - now I can't remember whether it was Kate or Hazel who asked me what ATC stands for - sorry ladies - but the answer is Artists Trading Cards - the idea is that its a single piece of card measuring 2 and a half inches by 3 and a half inches that you decorate up in your style and swap with others - its a way of getting inspiration and the small size can be quite a challenge in itself!!!! I do enjoy doing them and have started to get a little collection of other peoples work which is lovely - a place to dip into for inspiration if I'm feeling a bit blocked! Anyway - hope that helps!!!! If any of you should fancy doing an ATC swap with me let me know and we'll see what we can do!

Today its time for a new challenge at Creative Inspirations. The theme this week is lovely lace. I've used a script folder from embossalicious on kraft cardand a card blank from craftwork cards - I think. The image, lace and crocheted flower are all from crafty individuals - the image has been stamped in sepia archival and simply left! Its a very simple little card but I like it! Hope you do too xx

To join in with the challenge all you need to do is include some lace on your creations. This could be by using some of the fabric or lace designed Die's and Punches!

This week the challenge sponsor is CLASSY CRAFTS who are giving the Winner a £10 Voucher!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Delicious doodlesdeliciousdoodleschallenge: special lady
sunday stamperpinkleart - browns
PTWpapertakeweekly - anything-goes: AG
MMCSmymumscraftshop-anything-goes.: AG

Thanks for dropping by today and I'll hopefully see you again soon! Big hugs!

good morning all! how are you? I hope you are well and happy! We're all good!

This week's challenge at creative inspirations is It's A Girl ThingWe want to see creations for females only, perfect for the fact it is Mother's Day in the UK this Sunday!

This week's prize is from MEL JENS DESIGNS and is 4 DIGITAL IMAGES OF THE WINNER'S CHOICE!

I used the Meljens butterfly image and this is what I made:

The image was coloured with promarkers and then I used DI around the image - victorian velvet. The back ground papers are from LOTV from one of the pads I was so lucky to win in their blog hop about 4 weeks ago. The flowers are sheena douglass and the script is an embossalicious folder with a white versa mark swiped over the top.

There's also a choc baroque fluorish stamp up at the corner too.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges.

CYPCcraftyourpassionchallenges: mother's day/for the ladies

fave colour combo at Creative Inspirations and Bez's card

Hello there! How are you today? I'm fine and had a good run in Morecambe yesterday - I did my old circular route that involves about 2 miles along the prom - it was fabulous. So very warm though! Phew! What a heat! No complaints here though! Lol xx

Today over at creative inspirations its your fave colour combo - now I'm not happy with todays card - it does look better in the flesh than the photo - the paper that looks brown behind the flower is actually a dirty green colour and my fave springy colour combo is yellow and green - love the stamps - just not keen on the overall card - but my blog is warts and all I'm afraid!!!!!

The flower is from paperartsy and the other stamp belongs to my mum - I think its heartfelt creations but I could be wrong. I'm sure my mum will correct me if I'm wrong. All of the colouring is by promarkers.

This week we are sponsored by JOANNA SHEEN and they are giving the winner this gorgeous prize!

I wish I could join in! Lol xx

I've also got my mil's 70th birthday card to share with you today - I got this stamp specifically for this purpose - she loves her bingo.

I think it will give her a laugh!  I hope so anyway xx

Have a great day and thanks for dropping by!

Hugs

Its a boy thing at Creative Inspirations

Good morning lovelies - how are you?  I'm good although I'm not looking forward to a soggy run this morning - as long as the wind drops a bit it shouldn't be too bad.

This week's challenge  at Creative Inspirations is It's A Boy Thing!
We want to see all things masculine this week!

This week's prize is from another brand new sponsor  for 2014 which is CRAFTS U LOVE and they are offering a £10 VOUCHER to the lucky winner!

I decided it was time for more steampunk birds and this time I chose the duck stamp from Chocolate Baroque.

I created the background using the gelli plate and a stencil from Imagination Crafts. I mounted this onto a card and added some blu paper ontop for the water - I used a white pen to add some peaks in the water then added my stamped, coloured and fussycut bird on top. The whole thing was then mounted onto some mat silver card that I had run through an embossalicious embossing folder using my grand calibur.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Pan pastelpanpasteluk: Use a stencil

Thats all for today - thanks for dropping by and for any comments you leave! Big Crafty Hugs! Rachel x

Cutie piescutiepiechallenge: cute with spots and dots
Pan pastelpanpasteluk: AG

Love at Creative Inspirations

Hello there lovelies. I do hope you are well and if you're down south you're managing to keep dry. Big Hugs to you.

I'm here today with news of the new challenge at Creative Inspirations. The theme of this week's challenge is Love!

This week's prize is from CRIMSON CLOUD and is 3 DIE-CUT PACKS OF THE WINNER'S CHOICE!

I made my card using one of the beautiful postcards that you always get when you place an order with Crafty Individuals - they're beautiful images - usually very vintage and I thought I might just turn one into a card.

I have diecut the postcard into a heart shape and edged with lace then mounted onto some kanban card and added a lacy heart that I got from That Craft Place. The leaves and flowers were from my stash. A very quick card today - different from my usual cards but I quite like it.

Big Hugs to you and thanks for dropping by!

Anything goes with sketch option at Creative Inspirations

Good morning lovelies - how are you today? I think I'm just about caught up now - you have a weekend away and everything goes crazy - nevermind. It was worth it.

Today its time for a new challenge to start at creative Inspirations:

This week's challenge is Anything Goes + Option of a Sketch!
(You may choose between the new Sketch or one of the old ones. Just state which you have used)

Sketch No.7

You can find a link to the page of our old Sketches in the sidebar or simply by clicking below:
OLD SKETCHES

This week's prize is from BUGABOO STAMPS and is 7 DIGITAL IMAGES OF THE WINNER'S CHOICE!

I chose to use sketch 6
and I've been trying another sheena folder - a very similar technique to mondays post - what do you think?

So I used distress inks to create the background -( bundled sage, shabby shutters, pine needles, mowed lawn and forest moss)  The ran the card through the A4 embossing folder in my grand calibur then cut to 7and 1/2 inches square. This piece was then buffed over with a relatively dry black staz-on pad. I mounted this on black card then onto an 8x8 card. The central portion was more white card coloured with bundled sage then stamped using black archival - the stamp is a claritystamp. I cut some leaves out the remaining piece and sprayed with spray and sparkle - then added the webbing from That Craft Place and added the topper and leaves.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Artistic stampertheartisticstampercreativeteam - use distress
PCJpaper-craftingjourney: Emboss it

Thanks for dropping by today - I have to get ready for rainbows tonight - we're making 'noisy shakers' tonight which should be lots of fun!!!!!! Might try doing some music with them too!!!

Big hugs

Ribbons at Creative Inspirations

Good morning lovelies - how are you today? I hope you are well and happy. Big hugs going out to you if you're not! My visit to my mum and dads was a short one yesterday - I ended up taking my mum off to a new exercise class so that curtailed the visit. My dad is getting increasingly confused which is a worry - I take him up to the memory clinic in Lancaster tomorrow so hopefully we'll get some answers soon. Chin up mum - we'll be alright! xx

Today there is a new challenge starting at Creative Inspirations - the theme this week is ribbons.
All you need to do is include Ribbons on your creations!

This week's prize is from CRAFTY RIBBONS and they are giving the winner this gorgeous bundle of cake themed ribbons!

Here's what I did following the Ribbon_Technique from the lovely Sue Wilson:

Sue tends to use a ribbon that is differently coloured on either side and \i think the effect is much better like that - but you have to use what you've got and this was what I had. The technique was very simple - you'll find it on tomorrows card too - very therapeutic!!!
The stamps I used are from paperartsy - Jofy set 10 - I bought them at thatcraftplace. I've coloured them with speccies.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Incy Wincy:incywincydesigns Floral Frenzy
MAWTTmovingalongwiththetimes: Card for a female

I'd also like to enter this into the craftyribbonschallenge dt-call

Hope you have a great day and thanks for dropping by - I think I've solved my commenting problem so if I've been absent for a few days I should be returning again very soon!

Big Hugs

Rachel xx
