masculine at clarity

Good morning lovelies - how are you today? I'm feeling good and am quite excited as I have my crafty ladies to visit today - it seems an absolute age since I've seen them - I hope they've got themselves braced for some inky fun - lol!!!!!

Today I want to show you my entry for this months clarity challenge - the theme is masculine and I've made a card for my bil who's birthday is in July. He's a keen cyclist and cycles a lot in the mountains near austria - he lives in Germany.

to make this card I've used 4 clarity stamps and two clarity masks - I also used adirondack inks and also distress inks and applied them with a brush.

I started by stamping the sport word with versamark and adding black wow powders then heat setting. Next I did the same for the cyclist. Then I built up the mountains in the background using antique linen DI and a brush and clarity mask. I wanted to get the feel of the mountains. Finally I built up the sky using a clarity mask and first cloudy blue followed by faded jeans. Must get some of the clarity brushes - mine are quite old brushes and they shed bristles verily!!!!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Clarityclaritystampchallenge: Masculine
Pan pastel:one-for-boys

Thanks for dropping by today and I hope to see you again soon! Big Hugs rachel xx

New challenge at Craft a scene: Hills and mountains

Good afternoon Lovelies! How are you? If all is going to plan this should be my second post of the day - if not it will be my first!

At Craft a scene this month the challenge is Hills and Mountains - great for playing with brayer and my landscape masks from clarity. Here is my first make.

I created the background using adirondack denim ink and I think I also used distress chipped sapphire and stormy sky too. The moon was masked with a clarity mask.

The stamps I used were all from Sheena Douglass - two different sets.

I hope I have inspired you to join in with our scene making Challenge. Check out the full details here plus the cards made by my teamies - wow - they're so talented - I'm sure you'll agree.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Allsorts:allsortschallenge No flowers
Fussy and Fancyfussyandfancychallenge: Travel
Penny'spennyschallenges: Feathered friends
ALBCalbc-birds-and-bees: The birds and the bees

Thankyou for dropping by today and for any comments you choose to leave - I really do love to read them! Big Hugs to you and I hope to see you again soon!

add glitter at Lavinia

Goodly morning to you! I hope you are well and happy! Its Penny's opening night tonight - I'll take my camera along and hopefully have a piccie to show you tomorrow. Its also my dads appointment today so I'm hoping that goes well too.

Todays card I made to enter this months challenge over at Lavinia stamps where the theme is 'add glitter'. Here's what I made:

I made the topper first - I stamped the lavinia fairy stamp in versa mark and added black wow powders to the image then heat set. I repeated this process with the lavinia star group but used clear embossing powder before heat setting. Then I added the clarity moon mask and set about building up the background using the ombre technique from last months craft stamper magazine - I used seedless preserves, dusty concorde and milled lavendar distress inks. Then after removing the mask I added lavinia foliage on the left and two small lavinia fairies near the moon stamping this time in black. Finally I used the Clarity landscape mask and added the hills in at the bottom is black soot.

I added this to some black card then threaded the ribbon up using the Sue wilson technique that I linked to yesterday. I hope you like this magical card!

I'd like to enter the following challenges:
