Tims Tags Dec2013

Good morning all! Just a quick one from me today - I need to get on with some wrapping - lol!!!!! But before I do I want to share my Tims Tag from Dec 2013. This one is absolutely nothing like the great mans tag - that you can find here.

Here's a picture of Tims glorious tag!

DSC07232

Its absolutely stunning - well I wanted to buy the tattered Poinsettia die and thought this was the perfect excuse - however - it was out of stock and I got my heard turned by the build a snowman die - that I subsequently used with the brownies so I'm so glad I did choose that one - anyway - the wendy Vecchi frosted film was also out of stock so I used the studio 490 white mouldable film instead - and this is my tag! Promise not to giggle now!!!!!

The snowman die is awesome - I absolutely love it and will get many years of use from this particular die I suspect! So the body and scarf were done in the moudable film and stuck together using 3D glue onto the back ground I had created using imagination crafts stencil and silver sparkle medium. I had fun doing the flick technique - and have plenty of extra splatters to remind me of the fun I had in the future!!! Lol!!! The sentiment is a TH one - and then I added the bow.

I'd like to enter this into the  timholtz 12-tags-of-2013-december challenge!

Just like to add that I have so enjoyed doing these tags - I may not be a winner - but I have had so much fun and learned so much that I will definitely be taking part again next year - and if you've never done it yourself - why not have a go! If nothing else its a great excuse to stock up on Tim goodies!!!!

Big Hugs - thanks for dropping by today and I hope to see you again soon!

Tims Tag - November

Goodly morning to you one and all! How are you? I hope you are well and happy and enjoying a lovely Sunday. I'm so excited to be showing you my Tims tag today for November - I just love the chalkboard technique and really enjoyed making this one - but I have to confess I did feel it was a bit plain - so ened up with some leafy additions! Here's Tims Tag:

novembertag

Now I didn't have the special leaf and die set that tim used but I did have the set of 4 stamps that include this image - I chose to use the acorn - and the leaf! Here's what I did.

I followed tims chalkboard technique and created the main body of the tag and the decoupaged the image up. Then I created some background paper using DI and stamped the leaf image onto it several times to create the leaves which I then fussy cut. I added the sentiment which is a favourite verse of mine - I used to have a money box with it written on when I was a child and it always makes me think of that box that was shaped like a book and had a key and everything. So thats it!

I'm entering this into timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2013-november.

Hope you have a great day and thanks so much for dropping by today! I really do appreciate your comments!

Tims tag October 2013, a housemouse card and a commenters candy

Hello there - how are you? I hope you are well and happy. I'm feeling better today and thanks for your kind comments yesterday - they always make me feel happy!

So first off today I've got my version of Tims tag Oct 2013 to share with you. Here's the masters tag:

DSC06998

you can find his post about how he made this here.

Here's what I did:

for once I am very happy with this tag - I loved especially creating the background and think the distress paint colours I used worked well (mowed lawn, spiced marmalade, dusty concord, antique linen). I love the drippy effect I managed to achieve. The writing in the background and the skeleton are apothecary remnant rubs and the web and sentiment came from a stamp and cut set that I found fabulously easy to use - the distress glitter on the web and spider is also fabulous - it is different from other glitters - give it a try if you haven't used it! I'd like to enter this into the tims tag challenge.

Onto my next item - a card made from the housemouse triple CD - I'm not a CD crafter but they do come in handy at times:

The images and sentiment came straight from the CD as did the backing paper - I've just added the ribbon and leaves. I'd like to enter this into the housemouse-challenge : pumpkin.

Finally I have a commenters candy to offer you - all you need to do is leave a comment here and be a follower - I don't want you to advertise in your sidebar - I'd rather this went to somebody who drops by here regularly but obviously any followers who leave a comment will be eligible. I will post worldwide.

There's papers, wooden shapes, ribbon, stamps, tatty teddy toppers and an embossing folder.

Looking forward to hearing from you but if you don't wanted to be included in the draw let me know - I will draw the name of a winner on 23rd October.

Big Hugs
