Humour for Christmas card club

 Hello there.

Its my choice for Christmas Card Club this fortnight and I have fallen back on my old favourite humour .... I decided to use some never inked up stuff - guinea pig stamps from hobbyart.

Not the best cards - and not the best colouring - but a few more for the pile at least!
Mums makes are super this week - made using the grumpy penguins from KatzelKraft.

Great cards mum! Looking forward to seeing what the other ladies have made!

A robin's song

Hello there lovelies - todays card includes a verse that is very close to my heart - the stamps are all from HobbyArt but i am showing this card for the CountryView Challenges monthly challenge which this month is all about the birds and the bees.

To make this card I used a piece of watercolour card that was a mop up piece when I was watercolouring with some IndigoBlu translucent paints (daffodil and cut grass). Onto this I first stamped and masked the robin, next I stamped the log and then the flower heads. Finally I added the other vegetation and drew in the flower stalks. Lastly, I did the colouring in - for this I used watercolour brush pens from Phil Martin. Then I added the verse - I think its so beautiful - and I am one of those people who sees a robin and feels they are those we have lost keeping an eye on us. We have robins in the garden and often call them Shaun or Grampsy or Daddad! Its silly but gives us comfort!
Hope you have a great day! Don't forget to get your birds and bees makes into Countryview Challenges to be within a chance of winning a £20 voucher!

Little robin redbreast for Christmas Card Club

Hello there - I am running late today with my Christmas Card Club makes - they were done - just completely forgot to schedule my post! Nevermind - here I am now then with mine and my mums makes - such a lovely theme! Mine were mostly made using Crafty Individuals stamps - some down the side and the main robins but I think the background holly is crafters companion - as is the ivy.

I stamped the robin images in black versafine clair then heat set with clear embossing powder - then I coloured using water colour brush pens. The card background was done using versamark and white embossing powder for the stamped sentiments - then I used distress oxides and water splashes and the holly overstamping.

My mum made two different cards - this first one uses a hobby art stamp set....
and this second one she made using a napkin and did tissue technique.

Hope you all have a good Sunday - its beautiful and blue and I have already done my 5km shuffle this morning so feeling good!
Back to cleaning duties now!

Birds twofer

Hello there! Pinch punch - first of the month again - and this month the theme at countryviewchallenges is the Birds and the Bees - It can be the birds or the bees too - I've gone for the birds first - I had too many possibilities here so ended up with a twofer!

For this one I used an old stamp and stamped it onto a gel press background made using a couple of stencils superimposed. I restamped the birds and added them over the top of the paint to get a clearer image.

For this one I used a die from creative expressions out currently - you can find it here.
Its called puffin splash and I love the fish and the puffin!

Please, if you are going to enter, make sure the bird/bee/both are pretty prominent! You can link up your make here.

Hope you have a great day!

Big hugs
