Gifts for my drama family

Hello there - this will probably be my last post of 2017 - I wanted to log the presents I made for my drama family. I did acrylic pours and made journals for them.

I used Indigoblu paints throughout - and also cellulike and goflow from Indigoblu. The die I used was the journal die from Eileen Hull. Love ths die!!!

Hope you have a fabulous New Years Eve - stay safe and have fun! All the best for 2018!

Cards for my nearest and dearest

Hello there! How are you? I do hope you're doing well. Things here are good. I just wanted to add the cards here that I made for my mum and girls for Christmas. They were pretty last minute - I seemed to be making lots of things last minute this year including the teacher gifts which I forgot to photograph - they each got a decorated candle and 6 gingerbread snowflakes. I think they were well received too! Back to my cards....first to Lucy's....

Tim Holtz blueprint stamp and distress inks plus the snowflake from craft stamper magazine.

This was for my mum - the robin was needlefelted - it was designed for something else that didn't happen so I used it here.... a very fat robin I know!!!!

This was the last last minute card - no pattern used here - just an image from another card!!!!  Needlefelting again - I think I have found another love!!!

Have a great day!

A floral wreath

Hello there! Did you have a great Christmas? I do hope so! We had a very relaxed time - and I thoroughly enjoyed the rest. I am back to work today - but not for too long - I finish on the 12th January so have to make the most of the hours I have got left!

I am guesting at the Chocolate baroque DT blog again today and I have chosen to use one of my makes from the TV show for the bold blooms.

The mdf wreath was designed by my lovely friend Jo Rice and bought at one of her workshops. I coloured it mainly using oxides and then stamped and fussy cut the flowers and butterfly. These awere coloured with distress and then I added elements of sparkle using pens and glitter glue. I also cut and coloured the leaves similarly.

Christmas was lots of fun - we enjoyed ourselves on Christmas eve....

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing and hat

and then again on Christmas day ....

Image may contain: 4 people, people smiling, eyeglasses and closeup

and I even got my crafting on in the afternoon and spent 3 hours making a needle felting ring from a kit from the Makerss....

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, indoor

It was so very relaxing - I loved it!!!! And I love the result too! Here's a closer look!

I hope you had a similarly relaxing time!

More Festive makes for Chocolate Baroque

Hello there! I have another card on the Chocolate Baroque Design blog today - I'm remaining festive for this post although its more of a happy new year card!

I used a black card blank and stamped the image in black onto white card. I cut this to fit and added to the card blank. Next I used versamark and stamped the snowflakes and the sentiment then heat set with white embossing powder.

A very quick card - using fabulous chocolate baroque stamps!

More Festivities at Countryview Crafts

Hello there - and a very Merry Christmas to you! Its getting close now isn't it? Are you organised as yet? Guess what? I'm not! Lol!!! Still it doesn't really matter does it?

Today I am showing you what I made for Countryview Challenges. The theme this month is Christmas with the option of red, green and rust. My card is made using Tim Holtz Great Outdoors stamp set.

I used the logslice to create a a logpile and added a topper using some of the other stamps from the set. I have used the red and green and also not proper rust but rust colour - I am pretty much strapped for time at present!

Here's the topper closer up.

Please join us in our challenge and you may even win £20 voucher to spend in store! Join us here.

Chocolate Baroque 15 minute makes

Hello there! How are your Christmas preparations going? Mine are shall we say 'in progress'!!!! Blimey - this working malarkay is really eating into time available - but hey ho - once Christmas is over perhaps I'll be able to relax a little bit more! I am hoping to get kept on after Christmas but we shall have to wait and see.

Today I have four cards over on the Chocolate Baroque blog - its 15 min makes time again.... these were all made for the shows last month.

This one is stamped and fussy cut with film and fibre and mounted onto Crafty Individuals paper.

This one is done with an alcohol inks background. The archival ink was stamped and then rubbed off to create the ghosting effect then left on for the black overstamping.

Simple stamping in versa mark and embossing in white on kraft and overlaying the floral head.

Finally stamping on black card and colouring in metallic pencils before fussy cutting and mounting onto crafty individuals paper.

I hope these ideas will inspire you to make some quick cards!

Festive make at for Chocolate Baroque guest DT

Hello there! I am doing the post over at the Chocolate Baroque DT blog today and I have made something festive using the poinsettia background stamp....

I used gold relief paste all over the stamp and left it to dry. 24 hours later I peeled it off and this is the result. I think it looks pretty striking! Then I used the stamp to stamp the image onto red card multiple times and decoupaged up the single poinsettia.

I do hope you like this! Big hugs Rachel xxx

Festive gifts at Christmas Card Club

Hello there one and all! Well its been a very hectic few days and I can't see things getting any easier before Christmas. Anyway - I hoped to be showing quite a few things here in this post but instead I am posting a picture of the goodies I made for my Christmas Craft swap partner. I know she knows nothing of my blog so it is safe to post these here I think!

The journal was made using an eileen Hull die and I did acrylic pours to make the cover. I think the ceramic tile has already been on my blog. The final piece is a book mark I made at Jo Rice's last class. I sent the whole thing along with a naughty gnome that I made by felting and a card.

No automatic alt text available.

It has been received but not opened as yet!!!

Looking forward to continuing making some more stuff - will add to my blog as and when I get chance! Big hugs all and a merry christmas!

Festive stamps and stencils

Hello there! Well its time for a new challenge at stamps and stencils and this time its Festive and Sue wants you to use BOTH stamps and stencils.....

I made two cards for this challenge - I used the stamp from the new Craft Stamper magazine and  a Tim Holtz snowflake stencil. I stamped the flake in versamark and set with white glitter embossing powder. Next I added distress ink to create the background. I also used distress ink through the stencil.

I chose two of  Alison Bombers winter stamps ...stamped and cut and mounted them then added lace around the edges. Finally I added a flake charm!

I do hope you can join us. Check out what my uber talented teamies did here!

Chocolate Baroque shows tomorrow

Hello there! Sorry for being a bad blogger at present - I am feeling a little stretched in the time department. We spent the weekend in London visiting the Harry Potter Studios and also Matilda the musical. Both were excellent fun! Anyway - that hasn't done my time management any favours but it has put big smiles on my daughters faces so I hope you can forgive me!

Tomorrow Lesley is back on Hochanda at 4pm and 7pm. I am not sure my samples will have arrived on time. David usually lets me know and I haven't heard so I am just crossing my fingers hoping they have arrived and that things were just too busy to let me know! Here's a couple of samples to show you - just incase they didn't get there - or to tempt you to watch the shows!

They are beautiful stamps! Hope you enjoy the shows!!!

Christmas with optional red, green and rust at Countryview challenges

Hello there! Wow Dec 1st already! How did that creep up so soon! There is, of course, a new challenge starting on the Countryview challenges site and the theme this time is Christmas with the option of red, green and rust. I have attempted to fulfil the entire brief with a card.

I used stamps from paperartsy to create this card in a few steps....

Firstly I stamped the ornaments using film and fibre and then fussy cut them.

Next I created the background using distress oxides.

I put everything together and painted in a branch using rusty hinge distress ink...Finally I added a mat and layered onto the card! My rust is not f the traditional variety but I think its acceptable!

I do hope you can join us .here.

Big hugs
