Journalling starts here

Hello lovelies - how are you today? Hasn't it been cold - I went for a run this morning - it was absolutely freezing but thankfully not icy - I hope I have no ice for my run in the morning too. It doesn't seem to be getting any easier but I will get there! I hope.

I went to coffee pot after that - Diana was in charge today and I made a couple of floral cards - one of which I'll try to show tomorrow. The other one went off to a poor lady of coffee pot who is in hospital with a dislocated hip - she only had it replaced three weeks ago and is definitely suffering.

I want to show you today a journal cover - I just got myself a journal and look forward to filling it up as the year goes on. I've joined a journalling group on facebook and we get a prompt to follow every week - this week its all about lettering.

Lots of messy play here - I've used black gesso, distress paints, an imagination crafts stencil, dylusions stamps, double bubble clarity stencil, distress ink and grungepaste plus a white pen and a black alcohol marker.

I'm happy with it.

I'd like to enter this into the anything goes challenge at stamping sensations

Hope you have had a good day! Hugs Rachel x

  18. Hi Rachel and what a wonderful photo to head you blog! :) I LOVE your journal cover, it's beautiful. I'm doing well with mine although at the moment it's just writing, I do have the urge to draw and decorate it but afraid to 'spoil' it. I find getting messy quite a challenge :)

  19. Hi Rachel - well done for getting "back out" there running! I'm trying to "woman up" and have the courage to get running outside, at the moment the treadmill beckons (have only managed to get to 2½km since the bug at Christmas, but I will work my way up to 5km again!).

Love your blog header - superb picture - and love your journal cover too. Not sure I can be either that artistic or that messy!!!!!!! ;o) Look forward to seeing how your journal progresses as the year goes on.

Love to you all - Helen xxx

  27. As you can tell I am running rather late Rachel, our internet is still being a pain and can't wait till they get us moved over to a new server because at the moment there is more time without than with service.

Pleased to read you had a run again, it is cold for it at the moment though. Alex went at about 5am this morning as he wanted to get 10K in before work, sounds crazy but guess I can't knock his commitment.

And I have to say how lovely to see your new blog header, it's as though Shaun is there keeping an eye on you and giving his blessing for all you do.

All my yetter yet again and I've not even mentioned your lovely piece if artwork, gorgeous as always, and thank you so much for joining us at Stamping Sensations challenge this month.
