Colour challenge at Chocolate Baroque

Hello Lovelies! Well another good day at the hospital - Shaun has managed to keep all his meals down yesterday - and the infection indicators are very low. The kidneys are starting to show signs of recovery but Shaun is still dependent on the filter. Each time they take him off the filter his lungs start to fill up. But we'll get there. He's getting his pipes changed today so fingers crossed that all goes well.

I chose this stamp from Chocolate Baroque using the voucher I won last month - I love these big bold background stamps and enjoyed making this card up using the colour scheme from the current colour challenge. I started by creating 4 colour sheets by applying distress inks (milled lavendar, wild honey, aged mahoganey and worn lipstick) direct to paper then stamping the image on each sheet - I chose the aged mahoganey as the background then paper pieced the baubles.

Finally I applied glitter and layered the piece up onto card.

I'd like to enter this into the chocolatebaroquechallenge-four. The colour scheme is as follows:

Last night me and Bez (thats Shaun's mum - she has been staying with me since Shaun has been in hospital) took the girls to the village bonfire and then afterwards they had gigantic sparklers in the back garden.

Thanks for visiting today and for your continued comments and support!

Big Hugs

Rachel x

  18. As always, so thankful to hear things are still progressing in a most forward hope. Enjoyed seeing the pictures of your little one too. How fortunate that your MIL can help keep life on a normal keel for your family at this difficult time. Loved your card, and thanks for the how-to's. That is an impressive background and those baubles are just gorgeous. Must have been a bit of tedious paper piecing to get those pretty designs - but the card is lovely. Happy wkend and TFS
