Week 2 at Craft a scene - Spring

Hello there. How are you today? I'm much happier because my lovely hubby has returned - he's going to be a bit jet lagged for a few days though - bless him. Just glad to have him home.

Today I've got a reminder for you for the March challenge over at craftascene. We'd like you to create a scene using 2 or more stamps that shows what spring means to you. This second card that I've done shows that spring to me means being outdoors more and going for walks in the countryside. I've used some Sheena Douglass stamps old and newer to create my scene.

I stamped the tree first from Sheena's oriental stamps then positioned the fence and kingfisher (both from old creative expressions sheena stamp sets). Once therse were coloured in - using spectrum noirs - I added the background hills using a mask from clarity and the clouds using a mask from clarity - the colouring was with distress inks. The final bit of stamping was along the river bank with the tufty grass stamp - another very useful sheena stamp.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Sweet Stampin -sweetstampinchallengeblog Inspired by a film/book - Because its set by the riverside my inspiration is  wind in the Willows.

CLFcraftylittlefairieschallenge: Wind in the willows
CFAScraftingforallseasons: Spring into spring

Thankyou for dropping by today and for any comments you choose to leave - it really does mean alot to me! Big Crafty hugs to you for a happy Sunday xx
