Little Claire - in the Garden

Hello there lovely bloggers - did you have fun in the sun yesterday? It was absolutely glorious where I am and me and my little munchkins and gorgeous hubby had a lovely day out at the Scarecrow festival - although today we went to the fair - on the last day of the festival a big fair arrives in the village complete with sideshows and an arena for all sorts of thing going on. We got there about 11 and left around 4 - it was fabulous - a beautiful sunny day with lots of fun and friends and I found out that our Rainbow scarecrow got a Highly Commended - so I'm well chuffed!!!!

Today I'd like to share a card with you I made using this months kit over at littleclairesdesigns. You get a set of stamps and you also get a card and some papers cut to size all ready to make up aswell as an inspiration sheet. My card is very similar to obe of the ones on the inspiration sheet - I just wanted to try it out as I liked the look. I've used three stamps - the birdtable and lawnmower and added them to the background. Then I stamped the sleepy man on a separate sheet, cut him out and added him after I had done all of the colouring. I'm particularly pleased with my sky - I kept seeing this on different blogs but didn't know how to achieve it - all I did was have a little think, got a small piece of cut and dry foam and cut a cloud shape from card, then using tumbled glass I just inked on the cloud and off onto the edge of the picture and built up the sky like that!!! Well chuffed.

The sentiment stamp was also part of the stamp set. I've added faux stitching around the edges - just because I felt it looked nice!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

I feel very luckyat the moment - yesterday I was fortunate enough to be picked by Anne on her blog for a candy win and I also won a creative classroom prize on the housemouse challenge!  Can't be bad! Happy Days!!!

Take care and keep Crafting!
