Sunflower candles

This is my second set of three candles for the sale at Morecambe High - very much the same idea as the first three - used Sheena Douglass stamps to stamp the images and then painted using acrylic paints.

Candle set 1: Lavender's blue

Hello - this is the first in a series of candles I'm painting in readiness for a craft fair at Morecambe High in March. These candles were stamped using Sheena Douglass stamp from the simply sweet sweet and painted using acrylic paints. I'm hoping that they will sell! We have to wait and see!

have a swimingly good time: Pan Pastel challenge - using two

Good morning all! Sitting here typing this wondering if my washing machine is going to blow up - fingers crossed! Anyway - my first offering today is a card I made for the Mouse challenge on the CMPC website. As you can see it features two super cute mice - with one about to dive into the goldfish bowl! I've added some flowers to the decoupage and done it all on an easel card that I've use both sides of a sheet of Bobunny paper to back. I've then used the flowers as a way to get the easel to stand up. After making the card I found out about the Noah's Ark challenge on Docrafts so I've entered this card for that challenge too. I'd also like to add this card for the panpastels challenge - using two'

Sunflower wine Box

This is a wine box I've got ready for a craft sale at Morecambe High in March. I've used a wooden wine box and stamped on it using staz-on black ink. Then I've painted my sunflowers in acrylic paints and finally sprayed the box with spray and shine from Crafters Companion to help protect the paint work.

Christmas cards from Jane Shasky's heart of the Garden

Both cards came from Jane Shasky's CD Rom from the heart of the garden. They were both relatively quick makes involving printing the images out and a little layering. The first one is layered against some snowman 12 by 12 paper and surrounded by Holly Leaves from MCS. The second includes a red mat and a ribbon around a green matt then holly leaves from MCs and white flowers from Duck Ponds Crafts January blooms kit.

Spring bouquet

Hello again - finally managed to sort out Mr Linky - sorry those of you looking at 111 and 112! Anyway - onto my second post for today - this is an early image for paint fusion done at my first ever paint fusion workshop with Sheena Douglass. Its from the simply seet set of stamps and the image is painted in acrylic paints. I've distressed around the edge of the image and mounted ontp puple paper then onto purple gingham. Finally finished it off on a hunkydory card. Hope you like it!

Tilda card

Hi there,
well I seem to have managed the first so lets carry on and try another post - thant would be something hey - two on the same day!
The next card I'd like to display is a Tilda one I've made for a challenge I'm running on docrafts.com. We've only got two entries at the moment so if you fancy getting involved all you have to do is make a card with a Tilda image and include somewhere in the card either distressing, alcohol inks or spritz inks. My entry is the following card:okay - you'll have to lie down to look at this one - can't figure out how to rotate it! Well anyway - I used a hunkydory shaped card and spritzed it with red, blue and purple Luminarte and allowed it to dry. Then I added the pink paper onto the rear of the front of the card to fill the holes. After that I cut my panel using the fleur de lys rectangle from spellbinders and stamped and coloured the Tilda image using promarkers. Finally I assembled the card by adding the panel with Tilda sitting at the bottom and creating the floral corner and adding the sentiment. Hope you like it. Rachelx

valentines card

Hello there,
well I'm new to all this so please forgive me - its going to take a while for me to get used to! I'd like to start my first ever blog post with a card I've made for Valentines day. Its on the enchanted challenge on the docrafts website but I like it so thought I'd publish it here too. I've used Luminarte colours red and blue (can't remember the fancy name) to create the background and Lavinia stamps to complete the background. Then I've cut two sizes of spellbinders heart die to make three hearts in total. I've added the hearts and a ribbon to the card and then stamped on the central heart using Lavinia stamps again. Finally I've stamped the circular sentiment from LOTV. Hope you like it!
