Gloria -s summer!

Morning all! I do hope you are well and happy? I had a fabulous day with my girls yesterday at a guiding event at Leighton Hall near Carnforth. It was great fun - they had a lovely time watching a magic show, making badges, suncatchers and bracelets, doing spacehopper and sack races, hunting for fairies in the wood and going on the climbing wall - brilliant work and a job well done to all the guiders involved!

I'm at a babyshower later today so I'll tell you how that goes tomorrow. But for today I'm back with a card - its another Mo Manning image - just can't seem to get enough of these at the moment!

I think the image is called Gloria - hence the title of the post - funny if she was called Josephine! I digress - I've printed out my image onto Neenah crest card and coloured using promarkers. Some of the papers were from a freebie stack from either quick cards or CMPC. The others have been in my stash forever. The flowers are WOC. I've used sizzix dies for two fluorishes, the shoes and glasses and the watermelon, the other die is the madera corner from memory box. The sentiment is hunkydory.

I'd like to enter my lovely summery card into the following challenges:

cupcakecraftchallenges: The great outdoors

PMSpapermakeupstamps: Endless Summer

Mishelflomishelfloschallenge: Long hot summer

Southern Girlssoutherngirlschallenge: Water Play

something a little different

Morning all - I hope you are all well and happy - thanks so much for all of your comments - they really do mean so much to me.
I've got something a little different to share with you today - I've altered a packaging box that create and craft send their clarity stamps out in - and made it into a gift box - then stamped some simple images on cards and turned them into note card.

The stamps are all from chocolate baroque - and the paint used to coat the box initially was paint fusion acrylic paint.

I'd like to enter this project into the following challenges:

sweetstampinchallengeblog: Books and text

fabnfunkychallenges: anything but a card

simonsaysstampschallenge: Kristina's inspiration I've done the Black and white plus blue

Too Cute to Spook Blog hop post for the scrapbook stamp society

Morning all - or have you not gone to bed yet? I will have done by the time this post comes out! So its the 3rd August and that means its too cute to spook hop time at the scrapbook stamp society. There are 10 of us taking part - all using different images along the Halloween theme. My image is a cutey pie called Kitty Boo - she's by Heather Valentin and you can get her here.

So little Boo is carrying bestfriend Kitty around with her on her trick or treating mission! She's definitely too cute to spook me!

And so to my recipe: I've printed the scrapbook stamp society image out onto neenah crest card and coloured her with promarkers then cut her out. I've made up a folded tent card from a piece of 14 x 14 centura pearl card cut down to normal A5 landscape width and used a scoreboard to make the folds. The background and street foreground came free in this months papercraft inspirations - I've just kept it flat and then darkened it up with DI Black soot. I've made the bunting from some old orange paper and handwritten letters on each piece - and finally I've used some forgotten stash - my stampin' up pumpkins - and added them to foreground and background (stamped in DI Spiced marmalade - faces in archival black).

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafters Companionccmonthlychallenge: Best Friends

waste-not-wednesdays-wk28: Use up something old

Bearly Minebearlymine-challenges: Anything goes

The stamping Boutiquethestampingboutiquechallengeblog: Anything goes

Twisted Tuesdaytwistedtuesdaychallenges: Anything goes.

Thankyou for joining me on this hop and thanks for hopping - the final stop on the hop is next so hop on over to Kenzie and she what delights she has got to share with you!

Don't forget there is a $12 digi prize up for grabs for one lucky hopper who is a follower of the Addicted to Stamps Blog here and who comments on all the hop participants posts! The addicted to stamps blog also hosts the list of participants in the hop so that's where to go if you get lost!

Happy Hopping - and back tomorrow with something different! xx

Showcase for Desmet Designs Apple tree cottage

Morning all! I'm part of a showcase this morning for Desmet Designs Cottage and apple tree digis. Just a quick post - here's my card:

They're really cute images and perfect for a new home card - the only other extra I've used is a marianne creatables fence die. So what do you think?

Thanks for looking and I'll see you later - hopefully xx

DT card for the new release at the scrapbook stamp society

Evening all - I hope you are all well and that you had a good Wednesday? I've managed to get some crafting done today since my little chippers were at holiday club. They had fun making olympic flames - and I had fun playing with one of the new releases from the scrapbook stamp society. She's called sexy little naughty devil - she's by Heather Valentin and you can find her here http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/auction_details.php?name=Sexy-Lil-Devil-NaughtyGirl-by-Heather-Valentin&auction_id=103405.

I've made the card using the new image from the scrapbook stamp society - coloured her with promarkers and cut her out. I've added her to an easel card that uses Tim Holtz papers further distressed with DI fired brick. I've made the tag by layering colours and doing a spritz and flick technique then stamped the words (from indigo blu) in versamark and added gold wow powder and heat set. The cogs are from spellbinders dies and then I've added some other bits and bobs!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cards Galorecardsgalorechallenges: Tag

simonsaysstampandshow': what do you say?

Sunday stamperpinkleart: Gold

That craft placethatcraftplaceblog: Steampunk.

thepoodlesparlour: Anything goes

That's all folks - thanks for dropping by and leaving any comments - I really do appreciate your words of wisdom!

its an Elvan Christmas!

Good Morning all - well its surprisingly dry here in Lancaster this morning - I was expecting rain but I've dropped the girls at holiday club at nursery and I've had my five mile run in the dry - so now I've got time to sit here and spend some time in blogland!

I hope you are all well? I'm raring to go - I've got another Christmas card to share with you today - its got that fabulous elf from Mo's digital on it again - he's just too cheeky for words - love him!

I've followed Angie's sketch from the sketch and stash challenge - I love it  and will definitely be using it again! The papers are my stash - they're very old - at the bottom of the Christmas scrapbooking paper pile! I've used promarkers to colour my image and added glitter. I've paper pieced the bauble with new paper from Wild rose studio. I've followed the circles theme onto the inside of the card too.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

abcchristmaschallenge: O is for Open it up

Winter Wonderlandchristmasblogchallenge : Elves

CHNCcraftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge: Tie a ribbon

Sketch and Stashsketchandstashchallenge: Angies Sketch

Sweet Stampin' challengesweetstampinchallengeblog: Christmas in July

Cutie Piecutiepiechallenge: Christmas in July

I'm going to have to sort some Rainbows stuff out when I've caught up with everything going on out there and hopefully I'll get into my crafty attic later - I've just got one of the new releases from the scrapbook book stamp society and I want to get a card made soon!

Big hugs and thanks for dropping by!

DT Post for LEJ Designs: Magical, mystical and mysterious

Good morning! Its Tuesday so its time for a new challenge over here at LEJ Designs challenge blog.

This week the theme is 'magical, mystical mysterious' and I've got a card to share with you made using one of Lyndsay's digis from her shop which you can find here.

First to the house keeping: the challenge runs for a week and there are two prizes. The first prize is any three digis of your choice from Lyndsay's store.
The second prize this week is £5.00 to spend in the Crafty Embellies store at http://craft-embelies.weebly.com/

They've got some amazing things in there so check it out!

Just a reminder too - if you use one of Lyndsay's digis in the challenge you go into a draw to win some more - can't be bad eh? This week the jackpot has rolled over to 8 digis. Amazing!

Finally Lyndsay has also got a DT call on over at LEJ Designs - so why not think about joining us? I think we're splitting into two teams so it would be a fortnightly rather than a week ly committment. Is a great team - very friendly - have a think!!!!

Okay - onto my card - now this is a funny one - I brayered a purple background landscape then added a moon and some trees - then left the complete card on my craft table over night. When I came back the next evening all of the colour has been bleached away by the sun - spooky!!!!! If you look closely you can see some shadow behind the skirt!

The image is called 'Tattered Beauty' - the trees are cut from a memory box die and the backing card is hunkydory. I've used promarkers to colour the image and then added glitter.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

onestitchatatimechallenge: Use a digi

Di Digisdisdigidesignschallenge: Mystical creatures

Craftycatzcraftycatzweeklychallenge: all that glitters

charismacardz:monochrome

digitaltuesdaychallenge: Monochrome

That's all for today - thanks for stopping by and a big thanks for any comments you leave - they're all appreciated!

Happy Tuesday!

Hugs Rachel xx
