vintage birthday

Morning all! Well yet again I should be running and yet again the rain cometh! Oh well - I'll just have to craft and blog then - what a shame I hear you all say!!!!!

I hope you are all feeling well. Thanks for your comments - I'll be interested to see what you make of todays offering which is right out of my comfort zone!

I've used a hunky dory topper and corners and added it to Tim holtz distress pad paper that I've further distressed with my edge tool and tea dye distress ink. I've made a flower using papers that I've stamped and coloured and cut out with Tim Holtz tattered florals die - Hels Sheridan does a tutorial on her blog here about how to make these. I've then added a few WOC roses and a sentiment - and that's all folks.

DT Post for Desmet Designs: Things with wheels Challenge

Good Morning - I hope you are all well! Today over at Desmet Designs Challenge Blog there is a new challenge starting - and the challenges are going to run on a fortnightly basis. This fortnight the challenge is called 'things with wheels'. There will be a randomly chosen winner who will be able to choose two digis from the Desmet Designs store here.

Here's my card - I used a pram digi and pieced it up with pink felt and added pearls. Its a very simple card but perfect for the new baby girls out there I think!.

up up and away!

good morning all! I trust I find you all well and happy? I'm feeling very slobby since my running partner rang to cancel my run - and I haven't gone out at all - this blogging takes up increasing amounts of time!!!!! Anyway - don't worry - I'll get over it!!!!!

Today I'd like to share a card with you I made last night using the sketch from over at the willow sketch challenge and one of the LOTV stamps I had for my birthday that hasn't been inked up yet.

I've used some free papers from a magazine and also some papers from the tim holtz distressed range. I've distressed them further with both distress inks and a distress tool. The bow is added as a bit of sparkle and shine.

New release over at the crafty pad

Happy Christmas Humphrey

Good afternoon all! Hope your Monday is going well? I was hoping to be ahead of time today as my aerobics class was cancelled - anyway I was good and went for a short run and then after chatting with neighbours my day just seems to have run away with me! And now its afternoon and I'm only just here!!!

So today I have a card I made in my attic last night - it was Sunday which is usually Christmas card night - and last night was no exception!

I was lucky enough to win these papers from simply cards and papercrafts giveaways - they are from Vanessa Arbuthnott (I think that was the name) - and they are beautiful! Anyway - I've teamed them up with two memory box dies and an image from Humphreys corner plus an LOTV sentiment. Then I've added a few pearls. Its absolutely ages since I've done a DL card - but I'm please with this so maybe I'll do another soon!

DT post for the Crafty Pad: Its natural

Good Morning! Well I hope you are all well and feeling ready for a new challenge?

 Over at the thecraftypad Pad today we are starting a new challenge called 'Its Natural'. There are 2 prizes up for grabs this week - the first prize is £10 to spend at the online store of 'digital Downloads'

and the second prize is this wonderful pack of goodies from 'crafty individuals'  - an amazing prize consisting of:-

2 red rubber Postcard Stamps
1 pack 6x6 ' Travel in Italy' themed Backing Papers
1 sheet of A4 Glossy 'Tags' Toppers
 (I'm so jealous!!!).

If you don't have a good image to use or fancy something new why not have a look at the store over at the crafty pad here where you will find lots of choices. I decided to use Molly the cat and the birdhouse for my card as I thought cats chasing birds was pretty natural!!!!!

I've used natural sticky back canvas and distressed it using tea dye and bundled sage distress inks. I've used promarkers to colour my image and stuck it onto background paper that was free from a magazine. I've added flowers from a bloom pack from duck pond crafts and also three leaf charms from the same pack. I've coloured a tim holtz adage ticket with bundled sage and added that and a ribbon.
