A fishy bottle

Good morning lovelies! Well how are you today? We had a glorious day yesterday out in the sunshine in the Lakes - we took the girls on a shorter walk this time - only three miles around Rydal water near Grasmere.

Penny took this one!

As you can see it was very sunny and we all had a lovely day!!!! The girls said the walking was a bit better but I don't think they really comprehend our love of it yet! We'll keep trying!

Thanks for your comments on my canvas yesterday - you are very kind. I've got my entry for this months craft stamper challenge to share with you today - the theme is to use a bottle - well I've used a tando creative bottle from thatcraftplace and altered it to look like a fishbowl using Sheena Douglass stamps.

I started by mixing up some primary elements paints and painting the back layer of the bottle and the front layer - I used a combination of greens and blues and when dry I stamped the background seaweed images.

Next I stamped the fish and seahorses onto heat proof acetate with versa and used yellow and blue wow powders then heat set. I painted the reverse of the images with more primary elements. I added the layers of acetate to the layers of the bottle and gradually buit the whole thing up.

Finally I covered the top of the bottles with versa and heat set with brass wow powders to give a metallic look to the top of the bottle. I did the same with the chain. Then I added the bubbles by stamping and the seashells.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Wow powders:wowembossingpowder metal
Craft stampercraftstamper: bottles.
Crafty Catzcraftycatzweeklychallenge: B is for bottle

I've got a little Easter candy to offer to you - you must be a follower but all you need to do is leave a comment on this post and I will add your name to the draw -

The candy consists of:
a red pan pastel
2 packs of paper strips
Kanban butterfly stamps
sentiment stamps
Lindsay mason puppy stamps
silhouette tree stickers

I hope somebody can find a home for these items! I will draw a name from all comments left on this post by the 1st May.

Big Hugs to you and a Happy Easter.

candy winner and playing with primary elements!

Hello there lovely people! I hope you had a great weekend - we certainly did - yesterday I made another big batch of soup to aid the diet then spent the afternoon at rehersals again painting trees for the scenery. Its starting to come together now and I think it might finally be ready for the opening night on the 23rd January.

Anyway - onto my first item today which is the drawing of my candy winner - thanks so much everybody for entering - I didn't take a screenshot of random.org. I assigned everybody a number in comment order apart from those people who expressed not to be added to the draw. That meant that my min was 1 and my max 27. The number that was drawn was 13 which corresponds to Brenda. Brenda - if you could reach out to me before this time next week I'll organise your candy for you! I know your off for some treatment this week so I hope you see this!

Onto todays post - me and my mum bought some primary elements in the create and craft sale and the two cards that I'm showing today resulted from a play with them.

The primary elements really are cool - the shine doesn't really come through on these pictures but its amazing. The colours in this card are from the set my mum bought - I think they were called tropical something. sorry been looking on the net for the name and failed miserably to find it. The stamps are from sheena douglass - the scrolls are early stamps from creative expressions  and the Hepburn quote is from a set you can get here at Crafters Companion. The extra fluorish is from fluorish with a Bling sent by the lovely Lucy - thanks hun!

I'd like to enter this card into the current crafterscompanion-january-2014-hearts Challenge.

I chose the set called Costa Rica and I used in to make the following card:

The stamps are again by Sheena Douglass - here - I used the primary elements to create the background and then stamped in sepia onto this. Then I stamped the fish on acetate and painted on the reverse in silkies from Imagination Crafts.  I've made this card for my Joanna Sheen Craft Forum card swap! I hope my swap partner likes it!

I've got a busy day ahead - I'm doing backgrounds with my ladies at coffee pot this morning - thats after a run - then its time to get my rainbows plan together for wednesday and finally I have a PTA meeting in the evening! Hoping to get back in the attic after that to start some DT work!

Hope you have a great Monday!

Big Hugs
