gifts ribbons and bows at christmas card club

Hello there! Well September's nearly over - so glad I did Christmas card club again this year! Already go loads of cards made and now its time for our next theme which is gifts, ribbons and bows....I really wasn't sure about this theme - but then I remembered a die I bought last year and fished it out to play again. So 4 cards later and I'm really happy!

The die is from Tim Holtz and the background papers are from Lavinia -

I first cut out the cards using a hexagonal die, then cut 4 elves, die cut and made up the parcels, die cut the merry word and finally cut a black mat and a slightly smaller hexagon out of papers. I am really pleased with these! Thanks for the theme!

My mum made one card - she used mini stamps from Clarity and a snowflake from penny black. Love the ribbon - perfect for the challenge mum!

Big hugs to you - hope you have a good day. Stay safe!

Namaste

Hello there,This is my second piece for Countryview Challenges this month - the theme is Complimentary colours. This time I have gone for blue and orange as my complimentary colours. I have used distress oxides and stamps from Visible image plus a stencil from aall and Create.

The products I used are shown here..... I started by creating the background using ripe persimmon through the stencil over the top of dried marigold, spiced marmalade and squeezed lemonade. Next I stamped the main figure on white card and coloured it in blue. Finally I stamped the words to the figure and added it to the background.

I hope you have a great day!

Christmas Sentiments at Christmas Card Club

 Hello there!

A fortnight has rolled around again and its time for another outing of the Christmas Card Club. The theme this time is Christmas sentiments. This time I made 4 cards using sentiment dies from Tim Holtz plus other Tim Holtz dies.

The giraffe is called Gertrude and she has her winter wardrobe on!

The bear is also sporting his winter wardrobe and his name is Theodore...

My mum has been using dies also but hers were John next door plus spellbinders poinsettia.

How different are we? Its funny!!!

Have a great Sunday!

Twofer for Complimentary colours at Countryview Crafts

Hello there - another month already and as the Country starts to get back to a new normal, Countryview Crafts has a much safer option - stay at home and craft and join our new challenge... this month its Complimentary Colours.

I made two cards this time - here they are. Both of them use Tracy Evans designs from Aall and create. You can find the hare here .

This is an older stamp - I used distress oxides in wilted violet and peacock feathers to create the background and then I stamped the image on top. Finally I added some luscious powders (teal) to create the shiny effect on the tail feathers, peacock chest and clock. My compliemntary colours are green and purple.

In this second card I used Tracy's very recent Hare and the colours blue and brown. I used teadye and tumbled glass oxides and created the background. Then I stamped the hare directly onto the card and then decoupaged the hare in kraft card. I added the triangular detail using an Aall and Create Stencil.
The other stamps shown on the card are from the hare stamp set.

I do hope you can join the challenge....you'll find the linky and loadsmore inspirationhere !
