Mainly red as Christmas Card Club

Hello there! Well another fortnight has skipped by - and its time for another Christmas Card Club. This time the theme is mainly red- I have been flat out with DT work and I didn't think I was going to get more than 1 made - but thankfully it all came together - so here are my 4 cards all made using the new moose set of stamps from Hobby Art.

All 4 together.... I invested in a hexagonal die - really pleased to have been able to use it this time to make these cards.

The first two ...

and the second two......

Now for my mums cards - she used a new stamp from Sentimentally Yours - designed by Trudie Howard.

Two lovely cards mum!

Have a great Sunday! Hugs Rachel xx

Winter scene at Christmas Card Club

Hello there! Our theme at Christmas card club this week is Winter scene - I had lots of fun making my 4 this week - all based on a card I saw in one of the inspirational fb lives that Jean Hardy did a few weeks ago. I saw a card that combined two stamps ...my cards roughly are my take on that one card.... I am sorry - I can't remember who the DT member was that inspired me so!

The third one down isthe one closest to the original. All stamps throughout are Crafty Individuals.

My mum made two cards:

I love this first one made with Claritystamps and  Card-Io stamps.....

This second one is made with a Jayne Nestorenko designed Claritystamp.

I hope you all have a great day.

Wish you were here at Countryview

Hello there! I have a post on Countryview Challenges today ...another piece to hopefully inspire you to join our 'I do like to be beside the seaside' challenge.

I created my card firstly by making a distress oxide background using chipped sapphire, tumbled glass and speckled egg. I then added some stamping using a stamp from Crafty Individuals in the background. I also added some hessian and a gel press clean up background. The postcard stamp is another one from Crafty individuals ... and the shells came from my daughter who had collected them on a beach at some point in the last 14 years!!!

I do hope you can join us - you can find out full details and link up here.

Nativity at Christmas Card Club

Hello there! Well another frtnight has rolled around and its time to share more Christmas makes - this time the theme is Nativity and I have 4 makes, my mum has three....

Here's my first two - using Northern lights papers from Clarity and a stamp set  from Chocolate Baroque - I was a bit short for time - hence the use of papers!

I stamped over the backgrounds and added the topper image coloured with inktense pencils.

More of the same techniques here but this time I coloured the different set of images from Chocolate Baroque in using sparkle pens.

My mums cards - first one is a Claritystamp image on a distress oxide background.

Next another distress background with Chocolate Baroque stamps.

and finally.... a recycled card!

Hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Beside the seaside - at Countryview Crafts

Hello there! Well its 1st August and there's a new challenge at Countryview Challenges where the theme is ....I do like to be beside the seaside.... I decided to use some old stamps and distress oxides to create my make - all the stamps are by Crafty Individuals - I love them to pieces!!! Perfect for this theme!!!

I started by creating an A4 background using fossilised amber, mermaid lagoon and vintage photo distress oxide.  I then stamped the girly stamps on the card and cut them out then used the rest of the card to create the background. I also fussy cut images of the two girls on white card and added them on top of the previously stamped ones. The sentiment came with the stamps. The final thing I added were the seashells which came as part of the Little Fishies set from IndigoBlu.

I do hope you can join us in this challenge - the prize is a £20 voucher to spend in store! More details and link up here.

Big hugs
