IndigoBlu samples

Hi there! Just wanted to log the samples I put in for the Indigoblu shows on the 17th January. Loved these new stamp sets - quirky and cool and great for male cards.

I used an indigoblu stencil and the discombobulated gent to make this.

Wonderful and weird and old fossil stamp sets plus IB stencils and paints.

Holly and Ivy at Christmas card Club

Hello there! Well its the second week of Christmas card club and this time the theme is Holly and/or Ivy. My cards sort of go with this theme in that there is holly in the die cut....

For my cards I made brusho backgrounds and added a holly diecut each time. Then I added a Merry Christmas and either a paper doll or a TH diecut.

My mum went with the anything goes theme - she used sue wilson dies and recycled christmas cards from this year.

I am looking forward to what everybody else has done!
Have a great Sunday. Dress rehersal for us today for Anne of Green Gables...fingers crossed it goes well!

Love on inspirational quotes

I just love inspirational quotes - there are so many out there - I love that Alison Bomber collates some and puts them into stamp collections too. I chose one from Anne Frank to feature on my card today which is my second post for the love theme over at Countryview challenges this month - here's what I did...

I started by adding white gesso lightly to my card - dried it then added distress oxide inks using a sponge over the top. The colours were gathered twigs, tea dye, mustard seed and wild honey.

Next I stamped and fussy cut an image by jane-davenport. I chose this image as friends are soooo important in life and I wanted my card to show that!

Next for my inspirational quotes from alison-bomber

Finally I put the whole thing together....
I hope you can join us over at countryviewchallenges where you have the chance of winning a £20 voucher.

Angels or fairies at Christmas Card club

Hello there - well its started already - my Christmas card makes for next year - that's what we do at Christmas card club - make cards throughout the year to make prepartions even better for next December! The first theme this year is angels or fairies - I bought an angel stamp not long ago but in the craziness of Christmas haven't been able to find it - so I opted for my lovely Lavinia goodies - and made 4 cards all a variation on a theme.

I made them all in a similar way - I did the stamping first, used a moon mask then used ink to create the scene. Finally I applied my coloured pencils and brushed them out with a water brush.

My mum made a card for each theme -

The first one uses Lavinia stamps too - I can see that I need that berry stamp - makes a beautiful wreath!

And here are here angels! Very cute I think!

I hope you have a great day!

Happy New Year!

Hello and welcome to a new decade! A very happy New Year to you all! Today we have a new challenge at Countryview challenges where the theme for this month is love. I have taken the theme to mean the things I love...and my card reflects this...

Its a stamp from Aall and create - I love them and this one particularly. It conjures up images of Australia for me when I had such a wonderful holiday  in a campervan with my dear departed Shaun - such precious memories indeed.

I stamped the image and simply coloured with watercolour pencils.
I do hope you can join our challenge by linking up here.
Big hugs and a happy 2020 to you!
