Cat's Eyes

Hello there! I have my second piece of inspiration for the Countryview Challenges blog today. The theme this month is 'The Eyes have it'. I decided to use the curious-cats stamp from visible image.

I started with a pale distress oxide background that I made using antique linen, spun sugar and tattered rose. Next I added the stamping and finally coloured the eyes using luscious powder from Indigoblu. You can link up to the challenge here.

wreath card at CCC

Hello there! I am afraid I am a day early today with my entry to this fortnights Christmas card club - I already have a post for tomorrow so thought I would just make this one a little early!

The theme this time is Christmas wreath - I had fun making  my four cards.

I used stamps from Lavinia and Hobby Art to make my cards. I know they're not ultra festive - but I do like hares!!!!

My mum also made two cards....

This one used a spellbinders stamp....

...and this one an indigoblu stencil and an inkylicious stamp. I like this one very much!

Jo's february class

Hello there! I seem to have a rare 10 minutes to myself so I thought I would nip onto the computer and blog my makes from my february class with Jo Rice...it was a Lavinia class which are usually my favourites...we made 4 cards and here's mine...

I just adore hares and I love Lavinia - so as you can imagine I loved this class...Jo is always so very lovely!

Postbox at CCC

Hello there! Well I'm just back from doing a craft declutter at Carnforth and I just realised that I had forgotten to do my post for Christmas card club. The theme this fortnight is 'postbox' and I made only two cards this time around - its been a busy few weeks!

I used a chocolate baroque stamp for my main image. The square card I did on a gelli print, the rectangular card just on a reguar piece of card. All subsequent colouring was done using inktense pencils.

My mum was busy - she made two cards too. This first one used hobbyart stamps...

..and this one she made using a hunkydory pad/image. 

Thanks for another great theme idea! I just wish I had time to do another one!  Have to save my energy for the next challenge which I am sure will roll around quite soon!

The Eyes have it at Countryview Challenges

Hello there! Well its the first of March - amazing really - how does time pass so quickly! That means its time for a new challenge at Countryview Crafts - the theme this month is ...The Eyes have it. I love the theme - it gave me the chance to play with a visible image stamp set and stencil.

Not my usual kind of make - but I did have fun doing it! I used the face-it stamp set and stencil-set---face-shape. I started making a distress oxide background with tattered rose, antique linen and spun sugar. Then I used the mask outer and tattered rose to create the face shape. I used the face inner to then cover the face whilst I used another stencil to create the outside. Next I stamped the eyes, nose and mouth. I then added some purple luscious powder to the eyes and painted the eyes using indigoblu paints. Finally I added the added the veil - the idea was to draw more attention to the eyes.
