Coffee pot and my birthday!!!

Hello there! How are you today? I hope you are well. I am happy as it is my birthday - I have been a very lucky lady - I will show you my goodies and cards later in the week. I am looking forward to a spot of lunch with my mum and also hoping that my dad may be out of hospital which would be brilliant.

I have my makes from coffee pot to share with you today - we were using moonglow powders and versamark and the stamps were from Clarity and another company. The sentiment stamps were from quick cards magazine.

The butterflies were punched using a Martha Stewart punch that had stamps inside it so you could stamp your butterflies if you chose to.

To create the backgrounds we stamped in versamark then added the moonglow powders with a brush and brushed off the excess before fixing with hairspray.

George's Card

Hello there! How are you today? I hope you are enjoying the sunshine! I am hoping to run this morning as the girls go back to school so I hope that it isn't too warm. I'm a bit useless when its a bit warm! We had a very warm cycle ride on Saturday - but it was lots of fun - its not far really but the girls managed 13 miles so I was very pleased with them.







They are lovely! So glad I have them - they really keep me going!!

I went to see my dad in hospital yesterday - he was fabulous - I think he may be home today or tomorrow!!!

Today I have another card using the image from the Katzelkraft Jungle set. Its for a young boy!

I stamped the monkey then masked him off, added a clarity circle stencil and used distress inks to ink in the background. Then I used a clarity stencil and distress ink to add the leafy detail.

I removed the mask and coloured the monkey then added the text - my friend has some of my letters and I'm finding it hard to write! Must get them back!!!

A quick candy

Hello Lovelies! How are you? I hope you are doing well! Reminder for challenge at Indigo Blu

Hello Lovelies! Just popping in today with a reminder piece for the latest Indigo Blu challenge. Its called may-all-your-dreams-come and just requires you to use an indigo blu stamp in your make ... this theme is pretty wide open so have a go! You could win some wonderful Indigo Blu stamps!

Here's the card I have made...

The background was made using distress inks and the ever so beautiful floral-fantasy-a5-red-rubber-stamp-by-kay-halliwell-sutton. Its a stunning stamp and I can see me using that quite often! 

The girl is from the lost-family-mixed-media-paper-pad-a6-size - I cut her out and added her.

The words are down to a few evening walks in my garden just recently...the smell of the lilacs has just been divine - beautiful!

Good morning lovelies! How are you? I do hope you are enjoying this weather - its been glorious here! I can cope with a few more weeks of this ..... its just blissful to see the sun shining! I went to see my dad today too - he seems in good spirits athough he's eating very little. He's smiling too - which is lovely to see. It sounds as though he'll be in until early next week. I hope by then my mum will be feeling better about things.

Well its time for a new post - todays card came from playtime last night - I have used a Katzelkraft stamp and made a sort of CAS card.

I stamped the giraffe then masked it and masked off the border on the card. Next I added mustard seed distress to the centre of the card and added a clarity stencil and through this inked ripe persimmon distress.

I then added the hand written words and the stamp from the wanderlust spring set.

Finally I coloured the giraffe in distress markers and finally added the line around the edge.

There are some wonderful characters on the stamp sheet - I suspect you'll be seeing more of them soon!

Floral frenzy at Stamps and stencils

Hello there! How are you today? I hope you are good! I have journal pages to share with you today that I have made for the new challenge over at stamps and stencils. I made these using the following:

Tim Holtz Lace stencil
Paperartsy infusions
Parperartsy stamps - Lin Brown (ELB01) and Emma Godfrey (18)
fresco paints
archival inks
posca pens

The background was a complete mish mash - the pages began as brayer clean ups when using fresco paints - to that I added some infusions and spritzed with water , added more and added some pearl glaze. I mixed this in then did some stencilling - with fresco paint through the TH stencil.

Next I went onto stamping - the flower heads came from Lin Brown - as did the stalks - some were stamped in archival ink and others in fresco paint.

I then added some words from the dream stamp set by emma godfrey - I also added some of the smaller stamps too. Finally i used a white posca pen to add the white highlights.

Sorry I don't have process photos for this - it was much needed therapy!

Crackle at Countryview Challenges

Hello Lovelies! How are you today? Well believe it or not its June the first and that means its time for a new challenge over at countryviewchallenges. The theme this time is Crackle! I really love to see crackle but very rarely use it so was very excited when this came up - it gave me an excuse to follow one of the Wanderlust tutorials from Andy Skinner and play with some Tando Creative goodies. I used parts of one kit but not all of it. Here's the finished item:

I used stamps from brett-weldele--steampunk-selfies-ladies and also paperartsy -emma-godfrey-18. To make the crackle I used mostly decoart goodies - I am afraid my process pictures didn't really happen - I got the starting point....

Here was me applying paperartsy fresco paint to the tando creative parts and allowing it to dry...

Next I added weathered wood crackle from decoart and when dry I added two different colours of fresco paint - green on one and purple on another. Thats when the main crackle appeared. I also experimented with a smaller eggshell crackle but was less successful.
