Faces at Crafty Individuals

Hello Lovelies! How are you? I'm feeling a bit shattered but its been a good day really. My girls are currently playing with their barbies - they do love their dolls - its fabulous - I'm taking advantage of the peace and quiet!

Thanks for your kind words on my post yesterday - tonight I have a card I have made for the Crafty Individuals challenge. This time the theme is Face Value - you have to include a face in your make. It doesn't have to be human! I decided to use a fairy stamp and also a floral stamp in this make. Both are from Crafty Individuals.

I stamped the fairy image and coloured the flowers using distress markers. I added this to a piece of pink mirri board and trimmed the edges. On another piece of card I masked off the top and bottom and then stamped the floral images and coloured with distress marker.

I added the topper then matted the whole thing on the same pink mirri board.

Add a flower at Lavinia plus new releases at Indigo Blu

Hello Lovelies! How are you today? I hope you are doing well and are happy. We are all well and good!!! Thanks for your comments on yesterdays post! You are very kind. Tonight I would like to share a quick make I have made for entering into the Lavinia Challenge which this time is 'add a flower'.

I have used the poppy seed head stamp embossed in white  and then used a stencil and added distress inks over the top. Finally I added the Lavinia fairies, the fairy dust words and some extra dust spots! Very quick and clean and simple. 

I would like to enter this into laviniastamps challenge 7. 

There was great excitement over at Indigo Blu earlier with the release of the new Christmas stamps - you can see them here.... they look fabulous - I know what I'll be ordering!!!

More coffee pot makes

Hello lovelies! Did you have a good day? I did and so did my little munchkins!!!! They're both still out at friends houses so I'm making hay while the sunshines!!!

I ran coffee pot today and we did our brushos makes - the technique went down well with the ladies and we made a few backgrounds each - here are mine with the card that i made ....

I tried a variety of colours this time - the colours definitely came through stronger with the glossy card! 

I used another visible image stamp and this time used brushos and water to create the background on the card.

Coffee pot makes for Monday

Hello Lovelies! How are you? I hope you had a good Sunday - ours was brilliant! My little Penny made me very proud - she managed to gain her brown and white belt in Jujitsu... She's now on the same belt as Lucy - grading will be less frequent for them both from now on - Lucy won't be grading again until December - not sure if Penny will do that one - we'll have to wait and see.



Now I want to show you what I'll be doing with the ladies at coffee pot tomorrow - I've been playing with the brushos clingfilm technique from Craft Stamper but I've had to improvise a little bit - anyway this is what I made with it ..

The green background is the brushos bit - I don't have the perfect pearls that they talked about in the article so I used a micaceous gold spray and sprayed onto the crumpled clingfilm. Then added the brushos then added some white card and then wrapped the card in the clingfilm and left it to dry. I didn't have coated card stock either at this point but i have since got it and the brusho colours come up much brighter.

Once dry I added the stamping with the visible image stamp using versa mark and black wow powder.

You can see a little of the clingfilm texture in gold on this shot. I'm looking forward to seeing what the ladies come up with tomorrow.

silver, black and white and another lovely day!

Hello Lovelies - How are you? have you enjoyed your Saturday? We've had a lovely day - spent the morning making a lemon meringue pie. It was for the Hornby Village Trust Annual Ploughmans lunch - that we went to at midday. We all enjoyed our lunch and the pie was yummy! After that we spent an hour in the park and then went to the theatre to see the Railway Children. It was a lovely production - done really well! Then we came home and the girls paddled in the river. A perfect day!

Tonight I have a quick christmas card to share with you that I made using rockin-robin stamp from Indigo Blu. I used flitterglu and stamped the image then added first silver and the white embossing powder then heat set.

Lee's card

Hello Lovelies! How are you? I'm a bit late today - been out to our end of year PTA meal tonight and also a drama group meeting so I'm very late posting! Still I got here in the end. Thanks for your kind words on my project yesterday - you are all very sweet - I hope you like todays make.

Its a card for Shaun's older brother Lee.

I have used some of the fragments stamps from last month at chocolate baroque, the June year of stamping cogs stamp and also the fish which is from the CB steampunk fishes set. 

The numbers are from TH stamps. I have used distress inks (peeled paint, weathered wood, dried marigold and rusty hinge) to do all the stamping. I have also used metallic card from TH for the layering.

a bit of journalling and my candy winner

Hello Lovelies! How are you today? I'm feeling very relieved to have finished my run - it was supposed to be 10 miles but I think it was more like 9 - felt like 20 - and took forever!!! Still its done now until sunday when I'm hoping to do another big one! Yesterday was much better - I drifted down that river in my wetsuit and swam in Rydal water. It was so tranquil and very beautiful. Loved it.

Today I would like to share a journal spread that I made in response to my garden!

I used fresco paints and paperartsy stamps and stencils but added some dina wakely stamps too - the writing was done using clarity letterbox stamps.

I did a bit of scribbling too!

I loved this little stamp saying I love being the queen bee - what a fabulous stamp! The lady scratching her head is meant to mirror me and my lack of knowledge in how to keep my garden in order - and to think I though Shaun only pulled up dandelions!!! Lol - bless him! He really was a star!
